About TRP
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah and peace be upon you. Welcome to our website, The Raise Project : Islamic Content for Mobile Devices. Well we have to rebrand it because we’re thinking big, to broaden the scope of the application that will be born.
Before this, the website was established to give information about Islam specially targeted for PlayStation Portable gamers. PlayStation Portable is a well-known device that capable of surfing internet via WIFI connections, listening to MP3’s, movies, viewing pictures, GPS scanning, taking picture, and so much more Sony Corporation could add in the future. Forseeing this as an oppurtunity to spread the Da’wa of islam, we’re established a team thatwill provide useful content about Islam.
The Raise Project is a project between Flavert Media Lab and Usrah Institution, Multimedia University Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Originated from the competition ‘IU Apperentice’ in 2006, this project have to be disqualified, for the aim and scope was too big for the competition. Now as the founder graduated and no longer a student, the project still remains, to digitalize and to bring Islamic Content to the whole digital world, encompassing on each devices, or multimedia sources possible.
The Raise Project have 2 division. One team is responsible for the Creative Content, ideas on possible application, graphic designer and many more that will available on the future and another team is the proud helpful knights of volunteers that responsible to port and copying translation and Quranic verses in the making of Al-Quran for PlayStation Portable. Without them, this application will never exist.
