Singapore Tour Report
( last time i was unable to put it because of the size of the blog that is made to be PSP-Friendly. Now that i can put bigger picture here, so i rewrite again about the trip )

On 6-9 September 2007, we were invited by Jamiyah Singapore to present on “One World Many Cultures” exhibition under Science and Technology category. Indeed this is our first time to exhibit to the public but Alhamdulillah, thank God everything went fine.

What we do on the exhibition is promoting Islamic Content for PSP. We’ve also showcased our Interactive CD, which consist of 5 previous edition of this magazine and also Al-Quran for PSP viewable on the PC. This way, for those who didn’t have a PSP, can experience on how to use Al-Quran for PSP. Aside from our Interactive CD that will be published soon, we also selling our T-Shirt, giving the flyers, and also for the visitors that bring their PSP, we install Al-Quran for PSP and the magazine on the spot. Convenient.

Our guest of Honor on that exhibition is Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Community Development Youth & Sports of Singapore. He commented that this Al-Quran for PSP will definitely benefit those who want to discover and read Al-Quran in their favorite gadget. Mr Paul Broom, Director of Political Affairs, British High Commission also said this project was extremely helpful in giving Islamic Information.

After that, One uncle with his nickname Uncle Z, came to us. According to him, from 10 Muslims family in singapore, 7 of them have at least 1 psp. He has 4 kids and 3 of them have the psp. quite cool. he also stated that MRT, ( singapore train ) is WiFi enabled, the train and the terminal so the ability to synchro/update the magazine using RSS Channel in PSP is pretty useful and he insist me on doing On-Demand application. Hoho.Uncle Hossain, was a teacher and now he’s a motivator. he said that our magazine has been beautifully designed and arranged ( thanks to faiz, allia, wadah and shareena ) and was able to be a module inside a class. again with rss features, it’s pretty useful in singapore which is already established with WiMax.
Then Mr Issa, One of Jamiyah Officer and resides at Australia, complementing our projects and invites us to present at Australia whenever he have a related expo.

Another interesting moment is when Ustaz Dahari, demonstrate on how the muslim can use the PSP to read Al-Quran when praying. He love the simplicity of One-Finger control using PSP D-Pad to navigate through surah/chapter and through pages inside the chapter. The response from the visitors was very good. There’s a moment where a lady came over and said she left her PSP at her home. Tomorrow she came bring along her whole family and give three PSP to us to install Al-Quran for PSP and The Magazine. We’ve manage to install 30+ PSP’s. We’ve also manage to sell around 25 T-shirts.
